In this connection we would above all point to the academic study “Profile of the Applications and Effectiveness of Alpine Remedies“ by Prof. Dr. W. Schobersberger and Dr. G. Hoffmann as well as the extensive investigations of the effects of stone pine at the Joanneum Research Institute in Graz , from which the following information on oils, plants and the effects of their phyto-substances are taken. At the same time we are obliged to point out that in all our applications medical advice is neither suggested nor intended. None of our product information and descriptions – not even the briefest outline – should in any way be used to undertake your own diagnosis or to regard natural products as a substitute for a professional consultation or treatment by trained therapists!

ArnicaArnica Montana

Arnica (lat. arnica montana) is used in natural medicine for relaxing the muscles after physical effort or during sporting activities, in cases of muscle ache, bruses, stains, contusions, swellings, sprains, haematomae, varicose veins, accident-in-duced shock, cold-sores/fever alisters and acne. Essential oils

Essential oils contain the vitality of the plant in concentrated form. In other languages essential oils are referred to as “etherous” which is derived from the Greek route “aither” – scent of heaven indicating that it is something intangible or fleeting. At the same time essential oils are very important as they are decisive for the scent of a plant. Essential oils are therefore also often referred to as the "soul of a plant". They reflect the personality and the spirit of a plant.

Sulphur brings relief everywhere where the body is troubled by inflammation – or even just by stiffness – and is also an excellent beautifying agent for skin and hair. In natural medicine, sulphur is recommended in cases of asthma, arthritis, inflammatory processes – whether accompanied by painful symptoms or not – constipation, fungal infestation of the mucous membrane, and pains in the organs of movment, most specifi cally in the back. Sulphur achieves excellent results in the struggle against skin impurities, changes in the skin brought on by ageing, acne, burnsand disorders affecting the health of the hair. The scientifi c literature often uses the term “beauty mineral” to designate sulphur, since it tends to regenerate tissue structures, restore elasticity, maintain the natural fat and moisture content of the skin, and promote collagen-formation. It has a particularly marked capacity to capture“free redicals” in the skin (with anti-oxidant effect) and tends to work against the premature emergence of wrinkles (cysteine).

Thus, brine is used in balneotherapy for the treatment of various skin diseases, such as psoriasis, neurodermatitis, acne, aczma and skin irritations. It is also used to treat rheumatic and joint disorders, chronic gynaecological complaints, and for the general strengthening of the immune system. Sunflower oilHelianthus annuus

Carefully manufactured sunflower oil is a great oil due to its high share in unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid) and its high vitamin E content. It supports the healing of skin problems from the inside e.g. with dry skin or greasy skin with a tendency to develop acne. It is an important cell protection agent which protects the cell membranes against aggressive, chemical compound, so called radicals. Sunflower oil is also perfectly suited to be used in skin care products. Source: Pflanzenöle (Qualität, Anwendung Wirkung von Ruth v. Braunschweig) (plant oils – quality, application, effect)

ZeoliteNatural therapy with triple effect

Fight ageing with one of the earth's most ancient minerals: Thanks to its specific crystalline structure and its extensive “inner” surface, zeolite is capable of drawing and binding, on a very large scale, various other elements to itself. Zeolite is a mineral containing natural silicon, and one of the world’s most powerful anti-oxidants. It has the capacity to exchange the ions contained in its inner cavities for other substances present in its immediate environment. For this reason, this natural, microtransparent silicate mineral can function as an excellent ionic metabolic agent, possessing outstanding properties of adsorption and absorption in respect of toxic substances in human skin and in human beings’ internal mucous membranes. The zeolite group of minerals also exert an anti-microbic effect and can be used as natural anti-biotics: Studies have also demonstrated beneficial effects in cases of neurodermatitis, psoriasis, acne, vaginal mycosis, oral candidiasis, and in the treatment of plaque and herpes.

Zeolite also helps to remove, slow down and prevent the ageing processes of the skin. This mineral promotes and supports the activity of other substances, producing an immediate effect when applied in combination with nourishing oils, plants, and water.
