Plants and Ingredients.
Awareness of the curative effects of selected plants and oils from the alpine region is based on a wealth of experience dating back thousands of years as well as on modern scientific knowledge.
At the same time, we are obliged to point out that in all our applications medical advice is neither suggested nor intended. None of our product information and descriptions – not even the briefest outline – should in any way be used to undertake your own diagnosis or to regard natural products as a substitute for a professional consultation or treatment by trained therapists!
"Nature has given to us in abundance everything we need to remain healthy."
Sebastian Kneipp, bavarian Priest.
In this connection we would above all point to the academic study “Profile of the Applications and Effectiveness of Alpine Remedies“ by Prof. Dr. W. Schobersberger and Dr. G. Hoffmann as well as the extensive investigations of the effects of Swiss stone pine at the Joanneum Research Institute in Graz, from which the following information on oils, plants and the effects of their phyto-substances are taken.

Moor is used in natural medicine in cases of rheumatism, degenerative diseases of the joints and spinal column, osteoarthitis, osteoporosis, sciatica, chronic prostate complaints, circulation disorders, gout, skin diseases, disorders of the automatic nervous system, stress, and diseases of the metabolic and gastro-in-testinal systems Special plant hormones present in the moor exert an especially beneficial influence in cases of gynaecological disorders and infertility. The acidic pH value of the moor water means that open wounds tend to heal more quickly. The gentle emission of heat opens the skin-pores and improves the circulation of blood through muscles, joints, and inner organs. The body’s own natural defences are strengthened and the process of self-healing helped on. Chronic inflammations can also slowly be reduced.
Thanks to its high bio-energy content, moor exerts a pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effect. It detoxifies and purifies the skin, ridding it of impurities for long periods to come. It is anti-inflammatory and promotes good circulation.
In natural medicine, marmot oil (lat. olea marmotae) is recommended in cases of circulation disorders, joint strain, cramps, lumbago, rheumatism, arthritis, osteoaritis, sciatica, chilblains, burns, neurodermatitis, skin diseases and gout. Marmot oil cream cares for skin which has been put under strain, restores the body’s natural oils and adds moisture. In cases of skin disease, treat the affected area three times daily with cream. In cases of cold or fl u-like infection, take a teaspoonful of pure marmot oil once daily.
Propolis (lat. propolis cera) is used in natural medicine, as a natural anti-biotic derived from the world of the beehive, to strengthen the human immune system. Propolis cream can be used to care for rough, torn, dry or sensitive skin, reduces spots and blackheads, prevents inflammations and promotes the regeneration of skin which has been placed under any sort of strain.

The medicinal plant of the year 2009 has an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and regenerative effect and promotes the formation of granulation tissue and therefore tissue repair.
Sulphur brings relief everywhere where the body is troubled by inflammation – or even just by stiffness – and is also an excellent beautifying agent for skin and hair. In natural medicine, sulphur is recommended in cases of asthma, arthritis, inflammatory processes – whether accompanied by painful symptoms or not – constipation, fungal infestation of the mucous membrane, and pains in the organs of movment, most specifically in the back. Sulphur achieves excellent results in the struggle against skin impurities, changes in the skin brought on by ageing, acne, burnsand disorders affecting the health of the hair. The scientifi cliterature often uses the term “beauty mineral” to designate sulphur, since it tends to regenerate tissue structures, restore elasticity, maintain the natural fat and moisture content of the skin, and promote collagen-formation. It has a particularly marked capacity to capture“free redicals” in the skin (with anti-oxidant effect) and tends to work against the premature emergence of wrinkles (cysteine).
Sulphur has anti-infl ammatory and anti-bacterial effects and tends to dissolve horny layers of skin; it is applied against allergies and sicknesses of the auto-immune system; it regulates the metabolism, detoxifies, and promotes beautiful skin, hair and nails.
This mixture of water and salt is the “primal soup” of organic life, and a unique ocean of energy which can exert an extremely positive influence on our body not only in terms of the physiology of nutrition but also in terms of healing applications. Brine helps to support and promote the beneficial purification, puring, and deacidification of the body through the skin. Thus, brine is used in balneotherapy for the treatment of various skin diseases, such as psoriasis, neurodermatitis, acne, aczma and skin irritations. It is also used to treat rheumatic and joint disorders, chronic gynaecological complaints, and for the general strengthening of the immune system. Treatment with natural brine also helps in all cases where heat exerts a beneficial effect – for example, in muscle strain, and spinal-column complaints, along with other paints in the joints. Brine inhalations can also help in cases of acute and chronic ronchitis, asthma, catarrh, hay fever, paranasal sinusitis, and diseases of the ear.
Brine detoxifies and purifies the skin in a lasting manner. It is anti-inflammatory and supports and promotes good circulation. The skin is purged, old cell tissue is dissolved, the skin becomes tighter and acquires a generally younger appearance.
Sebastian Kneipp already recommended juniper berries for treatment of rheumatism and gout. External application as a juniper tincture or preparation with essential oil for neuralgic pain such as lumbago, sciatic and rheumatic muscle pain. The crushed berries are also used to massage the forehead to ease headaches. Tests also showed that juniper has disinfectant properties. Also very resistant germs such as e Coli were killed.

Natural therapy with triple effect
Fight ageing with one of the earth's most ancient minerals: Thanks to its specific crystalline structure and its extensive “inner” surface, zeolite is capable of drawing and binding, on a very large scale, various other elements to itself. Zeolite is a mineral containing natural silicon, and one of the world’s most powerful anti-oxidants. It has the capacity to exchange the ions contained in its inner cavities for other substances present in its immediate environment. For this reason, this natural, microtransparent silicate mineral can function as an excellent ionic metabolic agent, possessing outstanding properties of adsorption and absorption in respect of toxic substances in human skin and in human beings’ internal mucous membranes. The zeolite group of minerals also exert an anti-microbic effect and can be used as natural anti-biotics: Studies have also demonstrated beneficial effects in cases of neurodermatitis, psoriasis, acne, vaginal mycosis, oral candidiasis, and in the treatment of plaque and herpes.
Zeolite also helps to remove, slow down and prevent the ageing processes of the skin. This mineral promotes and supports the activity of other substances, producing an immediate effect when applied in combination with nourishing oils, plants, and water.
Swiss Stone Pine
The wood of the Swiss stone pine, with its bio-active powers drawn from limoson and other flavonoids, can bring about a significant reduction in heart rate. According to the latest scientific studies, a swiss stone pine sleeping system can save you up to 3,500 heart beats per night, improving your sleep-quality and making your nights more restful and restorative! Studies also indicate that beds made of Swiss stone pine tend to reduce meteorosensitivity (sensitivity to weather conditions). Mattresses and pillows stuffed with the finest Swiss stone pine shavings, climatic pillows with planed Swiss stone pine burs, and room sprays with Swiss stone pine essential oils – all of them can significantly contribute to inner peace and a restful and refreshing sleep.
In addition, the wood of the “Queen of the Alps” exerts excellent anti-bacterial and bio-inhibitory effects, effective particularly against MOTHS and in preventing mould and mildew.
